Native American School District deploys Microsoft Education solutions to enhance students’ focus and help them achieve more

Extra Credits rounds up the latest stories on innovative educational endeavors coming from other parts of Microsoft and the world.

When Jennifer Duncan began teaching at Rocky Boy Schools, she brought with her a passion for helping kids to connect and grow. In the remote, central-northern town of Elder, Montana, she works with students on each end of the spectrum – students who naturally excel working alongside more challenged cohorts, who sometimes aren’t motivated to attend class.

To enhance learning outcomes for their students, Jennifer and her fellow educators adopted Microsoft Education solutions. Using affordable Windows 10 devices from HP, the school leveraged Intune for Education to get up and running quickly, deploy apps, and manage the health of their devices.

Students are now able to leverage their OneDrive as a repository for their work done in Word and access documents from anywhere. In Jennifer’s words, “I can add comments to what they write and, even if they’re working from home, they can get my comments and make changes based on them. They’re just more willing to look at things that way, rather than getting hand-written suggestions.”

Rocky Boy’s story is one of many schools globally who use Microsoft Education solutions to help students get better learning outcomes.
