Welcome to the new Microsoft Australia Teacher Blog!
The first post of a blog is always the hardest, so excuse us while we get into our writing groove. Today we thought we would kick off by sharing with you some reasons why you should subscribe to this blog so that you can get the latest updates sent to your email inbox or reader app.
This blog is an extension of Ray Fleming’s closely followed, Microsoft Education in Australia blog. Our regular posts will focus on teacher and student use of Microsoft products in schools, on sharing best practice and on sharing events that can help teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms.
There will be no technical information here. Mostly. Unless we have very important information that we think all teachers should know about.
We will share information about the Windows 8 environment in education including the best Windows 8 apps for use in your classroom. We will include how-to and support for integrating Office 365 into learning spaces and you will also see regular case studies by guest bloggers who inspire innovative teaching and learning.
You will find this blog to be practical, we will share elements and experiences from Microsoft professional learning programs such as 21st Century Learning Design and Peer Coaching.
This blog will also be a great place for you to keep up to date with details on events and activities to help inspire and support your use of technology in the classroom.
In short, we hope to bring together the best practices from schools and educators around the globe and in our very own backyard to help inspire you to land them in your own environments. Make sure you subscribe to this blog as we will be posting up to 3 times per week.
While you wait for our next post, be sure to take some time to touch base with other Microsoft Education focused online spaces:
