Bett delivers again, even from afar
I was packed and ready to experience all the amazing things that Bett has to offer – meeting up with colleagues and friends, delivering a keynote, and watching others, and learning in the exhibit hall…when I started to feel feverish. Uh oh. You guessed it: right before I was due to fly out, I came down with COVID-19.

UN Day of Education celebrates the power of learning
Today is January 24, designated by UNESCO as the International Day of Education, and the theme of this year’s celebration is: “to invest in people, prioritize education.” The United Nations General Assembly declared an International Day of Education five years ago to celebrate the role of education in building opportunities for peace and development.

Elevating equity through literacy
Recently I had the opportunity to join many of my colleagues at ISTE, one of the world’s most influential education events. The upbeat energy of the host city, New Orleans, spread through the convention center the way music permeates the local streets, with the city’s vibrant spirit seeming to rub off on the people who came to “The Big Easy” from other parts of the U.S. and around the world.

In-person inspires and energizes at Bett 2022
A few weeks ago, members of the Microsoft Education team took our first trip as a group in over two years, to Bett UK, the largest education conference in the world. After such a long time away from the energy and excitement of seeing colleagues, partners, and educators gathering to connect and share information, it was an incredible feeling to be together in person at the massive ExCeL center in London once more.
